At about 10 am in the morning, traffic was gridlocked outside a massive building in Guangzhou, South China#39;s Guangdong Province. Many people were already lining up to enter the building. Inside, people of all nationalities and ethnicities carrying luggage moved around in a hurry.
This busy scene looks just like a bustling international airport. But looking closer, you’ll find out what#39;s really taking place: at stands of various sizes, vendors with calculators and catalogues of products were talking with visitors; visitors occasionally took out their phones to take photos of the products, and some were pushing shopping carts full of samples.
This is an everyday picture during the China Import and Export Fair, commonly know as the Canton Fair. The second session of the 134th Canton Fair, which focuses on showcasing products such as home appliances, gifts and decorations and building materials and furniture, officially kicked off on Monday and is scheduled to conclude today.
The autumn session of this year’s Canton Fair has set multiple records. The total exhibition area has expanded to 1.55 million square meters, an increase of 50,000 square meters compared with the previous session. There are 74,000 booths, with 28,533 exhibiting companies.
More than 9,600 businesses, including over 200 exhibitors from nearly 30 countries and regions participated in the event in-person, setting a new record for the number of on-site exhibitors, according to China Foreign Trade Centre, the organizer of Canton Fair.
As of Thursday, some 155,000 overseas buyers from 214 countries and regions have attended the event, an increase of more than 50 percent compared with the same phase of the last session of the fair.
One of the biggest highlights of the 134th Canton Fair is the active participation of BRI partner countries and regions, with the proportion of relevant attendees increasing from 50.4 percent to 58.1 percent over the past decade.
Export deals worth 12.33 billion U.S. dollars were signed offline during the first phase of the fair, which concluded on Oct. 19, with more than half of the export deals from BRI partner countries, an official of the Ministry of Commerce said on Thursday.
The Canton Fair has become an important platform for companies to explore the Belt and Road markets.
As one of the first Chinese manufacturers to quot;go global,quot; Chinese home appliances manufacturer Galanz Group has supplied products and services to nearly 200 countries and regions, with about a third of export sales coming from BRI partner countries.
Russia is one of the most populous markets for Galanz, and was among its earliest. By leveraging a full industrial chain and local-team operations, Galanz has increased its microwave oven, dishwasher, refrigerator and other home appliance market shares in the Russian market.
As early as 2004, Orbus amp; Teksan, a company specializing in portable energy storage systems in Türkiye, began participating in the Canton Fair and has now grown to become the largest of its kind in Türkiye.
Türkiye has organized 125 companies to participate, covering industries such as consumer electronics, hardware tools, building materials, furniture, household items and food.
With the platforms brought by the Canton Fair, many BRI partner countries have purchased high-quality and cost-effective products from China and opened sales channels for their own specialty products in the country, achieving win-win results.
More than just growth in orders, many at the Canton Fair are also seeing major shift in the trend of new products that are much more environmentally friendly and cost effective thanks to continuous innovation.
Electric passenger vehicles, lithium batteries and solar cells have become the new business signature for China#39;s foreign trade exports.
In recent years, as green and low-carbon have become a trend worldwide, the Chinese new energy industry has ushered in huge market dividends. According to statistics, nearly 90 percent of the global photovoltaic industry#39;s production capacity is in China. Last year, China#39;s photovoltaic product export scale exceeded 50 billion US dollars for the first time, a year-on-year increase of 80.3 percent.
Participating companies of this edition of the Canton Fair have uploaded about 430,000 green and low-carbon products and about 110,000 intelligent products, demonstrating the vigorous development of the Canton Fair and the continuous optimization of China#39;s foreign trade structure.
China’s exports of electric vehicles, lithium batteries and solar cells surged 41.7 percent in the first three quarters of 2023 from a year earlier to 99 billion yuan, according to the General Administration of Customs. This accounted for 4.5 percent of the country’s total exports, up 1.3 percentage point from a year ago.
Exports of mechanical and electrical products grew by 3.3 percent year-on-year to 10.26 trillion yuan, far exceeding the 3.07 trillion yuan in exports of labor-intensive products. Most notably, China#39;s exports of cars and auto parts surged by 48.2 percent year-on-year, customs data showed.
The upgrade of typical export products from clothing, furniture and home appliances to electric passenger vehicles, lithium batteries and solar cells reflects the fast transformation and upgrading of China#39;s advanced manufacturing and energy industries.
The 67-year-old Canton Fair, China#39;s largest biannual trade fair, has become a reliable barometer of China#39;s foreign trade. It has played a key role in advancing China#39;s foreign trade and the economic and trade exchanges between China and the rest of the world. The history of Canton Fair is an epitome of the country#39;s rapid growth.

第134屆中國(guó)進(jìn)出口交易會(huì)的舉辦,讓全球客商再次云集廣州,廣交會(huì)場(chǎng)館內(nèi)外人潮熙熙攘攘,貨如輪轉(zhuǎn),好不熱鬧。走過(guò)67載風(fēng)風(fēng)雨雨,“中國(guó)第一展”依舊人氣不減。
10月15日至11月4日,第134屆廣交會(huì)在廣州分三期舉辦。大幕開(kāi)啟,萬(wàn)商云集,境外采購(gòu)商踴躍與會(huì),參展企業(yè)熱情高漲,現(xiàn)場(chǎng)洽談成交活躍。新市場(chǎng)、新潮流、新合作的背后是“世界工廠”的轉(zhuǎn)型升級(jí)和高質(zhì)量發(fā)展,凸顯中國(guó)對(duì)外開(kāi)放的大門(mén)越開(kāi)越大。
自本屆廣交會(huì)開(kāi)幕以來(lái),截至10月25日,共有244個(gè)國(guó)家和地區(qū),超過(guò)15萬(wàn)境外采購(gòu)商現(xiàn)場(chǎng)參會(huì),數(shù)量已經(jīng)超過(guò)上屆到會(huì)的總?cè)藬?shù)。較疫情前,即2019年秋季廣交會(huì)增長(zhǎng)了3.2%。其中“一帶一路”共建國(guó)家采購(gòu)商9.6萬(wàn)人,占比64.1%,比疫情前增長(zhǎng)了15.6%。
10月26日,商務(wù)部發(fā)言人束玨婷表示,正在舉行的第134屆廣交會(huì),人氣足、成交活躍,境外采購(gòu)商的到會(huì)數(shù)量和質(zhì)量均有較大幅度的提升。各國(guó)客商對(duì)中國(guó)制造、中國(guó)商品興趣濃厚、青睞有加。
就第134屆廣交會(huì)至今取得的成果,束玨婷表示,第134屆廣交會(huì)第一期已于10月19日結(jié)束,目前正在舉行第二期。從廣交會(huì)前方反饋情況看,總體運(yùn)行平穩(wěn),取得積極成效。采購(gòu)商到會(huì)踴躍,成交呈恢復(fù)性增長(zhǎng)態(tài)勢(shì)。
束玨婷說(shuō),第一期線下出口成交123.3億美元,較上屆增長(zhǎng)9.2%。其中,“一帶一路”共建國(guó)家成交占比超過(guò)了五成。參展企業(yè)普遍反映,本屆廣交會(huì)現(xiàn)場(chǎng)成交以及采購(gòu)商后續(xù)預(yù)約看廠的情況好于預(yù)期,信心有所恢復(fù),對(duì)未來(lái)訂單數(shù)量保持樂(lè)觀。
在第134屆廣交會(huì)上,共建“一帶一路”國(guó)家和地區(qū)的采購(gòu)商踴躍參會(huì),參展企業(yè)占參展企業(yè)總數(shù)約六成。據(jù)了解,目前境外采購(gòu)商累計(jì)到會(huì)人數(shù)約13萬(wàn)人,比上屆同期大幅增長(zhǎng)。其中,來(lái)自共建“一帶一路”國(guó)家和地區(qū)的采購(gòu)商占比較大。參展企業(yè)普遍認(rèn)為,境外采購(gòu)商下單意愿較強(qiáng),未來(lái)有望達(dá)成更多合作。
不少國(guó)內(nèi)參展商表示,來(lái)自共建“一帶一路”國(guó)家的外商明顯變多了,廣交會(huì)已成公司開(kāi)拓“一帶一路”市場(chǎng)的重要平臺(tái),光是第一期,“一帶一路”共建國(guó)家成交占比就超過(guò)了五成。
在全球外需不穩(wěn)的背景下,共建“一帶一路”國(guó)家市場(chǎng)成為不少?gòu)V交會(huì)參展企業(yè)的“新藍(lán)?!?,部分企業(yè)在俄羅斯、巴西、東南亞等區(qū)域市場(chǎng)的業(yè)務(wù)增長(zhǎng)達(dá)到50%甚至翻番。不少行業(yè)的從業(yè)者已經(jīng)將目光從傳統(tǒng)的歐美市場(chǎng)轉(zhuǎn)移到以共建“一帶一路”國(guó)家為代表的新興市場(chǎng)。
共建“一帶一路”倡議提出10年來(lái),我國(guó)與共建國(guó)家的貨物貿(mào)易累計(jì)規(guī)模達(dá)到19.1萬(wàn)億美元,實(shí)現(xiàn)年均6.4%的增速,這個(gè)增速既高于同期我國(guó)外貿(mào)整體增速,也高于同期全球貿(mào)易增速。我國(guó)是110多個(gè)共建國(guó)家的主要貿(mào)易伙伴,已經(jīng)與20個(gè)共建國(guó)家簽署了14個(gè)自貿(mào)協(xié)定,貿(mào)易自由化便利化水平不斷提升。
第134屆廣交會(huì)的會(huì)場(chǎng)上,“電光鋰”的身影處處可見(jiàn),新能源“綠風(fēng)”俘獲了“一帶一路”采購(gòu)商的心。
格魯吉亞工商會(huì)駐廣東省會(huì)長(zhǎng)、格魯吉亞“一帶一路”商務(wù)館創(chuàng)始人貝卡·梅卡伯利茲也注意到,近年來(lái)中國(guó)“新三樣”出口增速相當(dāng)明顯,而廣交會(huì)為眾多外商提供了一個(gè)能親眼目睹和感受優(yōu)質(zhì)產(chǎn)品的絕佳平臺(tái),“格魯吉亞進(jìn)口很多中國(guó)的產(chǎn)品,比如我們格魯吉亞工商會(huì)大概有1萬(wàn)多家公司,很多企業(yè)會(huì)來(lái)廣交會(huì)采購(gòu)建筑材料、燈具、太陽(yáng)能、電動(dòng)車等品類產(chǎn)品,他們對(duì)此都很感興趣?!必惪ǜ嬖V記者,他在中國(guó)已經(jīng)20年了,從2006年就開(kāi)始參加廣交會(huì),“很高興看到廣交會(huì)每年都有不同的產(chǎn)品亮相,每年都能感受到技術(shù)升級(jí)?!?/p>
“通過(guò)廣交會(huì),我們找到了許多長(zhǎng)期合作的供應(yīng)商,公司能取得今天的成就,很大一部分原因歸功于廣交會(huì)。”土耳其特克桑公司首席執(zhí)行官蘇克魯·奧茲達(dá)馬爾表示,早在2004年,他們公司便開(kāi)始參加廣交會(huì)。蘇克魯表示,“土耳其是一個(gè)年輕而充滿活力的市場(chǎng),相信越來(lái)越多來(lái)自中國(guó)的高新技術(shù)產(chǎn)品將進(jìn)入土耳其以及其他歐洲國(guó)家市場(chǎng)?!?/p>
“依托廣交會(huì)平臺(tái),許多’一帶一路’共建國(guó)家既采購(gòu)到中國(guó)優(yōu)質(zhì)優(yōu)價(jià)的產(chǎn)品,也打通了本國(guó)特色產(chǎn)品在中國(guó)的銷售渠道,實(shí)現(xiàn)了互利共贏?!睆V交會(huì)新聞發(fā)言人徐兵說(shuō),“越來(lái)越多的貿(mào)易往來(lái),讓中外市場(chǎng)交融日益密切。”
電動(dòng)載人汽車、鋰離子蓄電池、太陽(yáng)能電池等“新三樣”產(chǎn)品已成為我國(guó)外貿(mào)出口的新名片。從廣交會(huì)這個(gè)窗口不難看出,“新三樣”不僅成為了當(dāng)紅“炸子雞”,也驅(qū)動(dòng)了各國(guó)產(chǎn)業(yè)的綠色轉(zhuǎn)型。
海關(guān)總署數(shù)據(jù)顯示,今年前三季度電動(dòng)載人汽車、鋰電池、太陽(yáng)能電池“新三樣”產(chǎn)品出口值同比增長(zhǎng)41.7%。占我國(guó)出口比重同比提升1.3個(gè)百分點(diǎn),達(dá)到4.5%,出口值連續(xù)14個(gè)季度保持兩位數(shù)增長(zhǎng)。從“老三樣”到“新三樣”的結(jié)構(gòu)升級(jí),背后折射的是我國(guó)先進(jìn)制造業(yè)和能源產(chǎn)業(yè)轉(zhuǎn)型升級(jí)駛?cè)肟燔嚨馈?/p>
本屆廣交會(huì)上,“新三樣”產(chǎn)品大放異彩:增加約3000個(gè)展位,增幅超18%——本屆廣交會(huì)電子消費(fèi)品、機(jī)械設(shè)備、新能源等機(jī)電產(chǎn)品展區(qū)呈現(xiàn)新變化。展區(qū)規(guī)模進(jìn)一步擴(kuò)大,不僅為更多高技術(shù)、高附加值企業(yè)提供參展機(jī)會(huì),也為更多創(chuàng)新、高端、智能、綠色產(chǎn)品提供展示空間。
繼上屆廣交會(huì)增設(shè)“新能源及智能網(wǎng)聯(lián)汽車”展區(qū)后,本屆展會(huì)將之升級(jí)為“新能源汽車及智慧出行”展區(qū),同時(shí)首次設(shè)立的品牌展位為更多“新三樣”企業(yè)提供商機(jī)。
值得一提的是,新能源展區(qū)規(guī)模增幅達(dá)172%。從新能源代步車、轎車、公交車、商用車等整車產(chǎn)品,到充電樁、儲(chǔ)能系統(tǒng)、鋰電池、太陽(yáng)能電池、散熱器等零部件,新能源車全產(chǎn)業(yè)鏈產(chǎn)品競(jìng)相展示,吸引眾多采購(gòu)商前來(lái)體驗(yàn)和洽談。
近年來(lái),綠色低碳成為全球熱詞,中國(guó)新能源產(chǎn)業(yè)鏈迎來(lái)巨大的市場(chǎng)紅利。據(jù)統(tǒng)計(jì),全球光伏產(chǎn)業(yè)近90%的產(chǎn)能在中國(guó),去年中國(guó)光伏產(chǎn)品出口規(guī)模首次超過(guò)500億美元,同比增長(zhǎng)80.3%。
本屆廣交會(huì)上,綠色、低碳的“中國(guó)制造”吸引了全球采購(gòu)商的關(guān)注。據(jù)廣交會(huì)官方統(tǒng)計(jì),本屆廣交會(huì)參展企業(yè)已上傳綠色低碳產(chǎn)品約43萬(wàn)件、智能化產(chǎn)品約11萬(wàn)件,顯示著廣交會(huì)蓬勃的發(fā)展活力和中國(guó)外貿(mào)結(jié)構(gòu)的持續(xù)優(yōu)化。
中國(guó)以精進(jìn)的科技實(shí)力滿足更多市場(chǎng)需求,以發(fā)達(dá)的工業(yè)實(shí)力助力全球現(xiàn)代化產(chǎn)業(yè)體系升級(jí),以強(qiáng)大的貿(mào)易實(shí)力推動(dòng)全球貿(mào)易方式變革。即使全球經(jīng)濟(jì)承壓,廣交天下、擁抱開(kāi)放的中國(guó)仍持續(xù)惠及全球。
